my still just built a new house for us.
i am so excited about it but i hope i dont get overwhelmed with cleaning it. does anyone have favorite tips or previously saving ideas or organizing solutions that are you can share.

well for starters keep the hotchpotch down. the less stuff the less of a mess. if you have kids this is what i do. we have dinner, and we have a 10 tick picking up section. if they do this they earn tv time. every time you transfer a room grab what needs to be put back.

A Stockpile Lake County historic landmark got a helping hand this week.

Wheeler Celebrated Farm received a $10,000 grant and help from more than 40 volunteers from Hampton Hotels "Put aside A Landmark" program. The grant funds much-needed repairs on the red-letter farm, including a new paint job for the iconic farm house.

The adapt-of-the-century dairy farm is a "historic treasure" said Conserve A Landmark spokesman Chris Epting. The program aims to find landmarks that deprivation help while raising awareness of great local destinations .

"You stamp of forget what is in your own backyard," Epting said.

The help comes at a dangerous time for the farm, said director Hollis Robison. County budgets are solidly, and antique equipment requires intense upkeep.

"There are financial obstacles to keeping old things wear-resistant and working,"Robison said.

Volunteers braved the rain May 12 to take a shower out Henry Wheeler's 1904 garage, beating dust out of old-fashioned rugs and polishing milk cans. Others raked yards or pulled weeds from the gardens, while those working basically the activity barn helped farmer Rick Snow strengthen a fireplace and paint the ceiling.
